Question: Is there a fast-track option for quicker publication?
Answer: No. Our journal does not offer a fast-track service. All submitted manuscripts must go through the standard peer-review process, which includes editorial assessment, reviewer evaluation, and author revisions. This process typically requires about 2-3 months, depending on the quality of the manuscript and the timely completion of revisions by the authors.
Question: How long is the process from submission to acceptance?
Answer: The estimated duration is approximately 2-3 months. Each manuscript must undergo several stages, including initial editorial screening, peer review by independent reviewers, and revisions by the authors. The timeline may be extended if the reviewers request substantial revisions or if the authors do not complete the revisions within the recommended time frame.
Question: How many days does it take to receive the first review result?
Answer: The timeline for the first review varies depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript. Since our journal follows a rigorous peer-review process, it may take several weeks for reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. Not all submissions proceed at the same speed, as the review duration depends on the quality and completeness of the article.
Question: How many times does the journal publish in a year, and in which months?
Answer: The journal is published four times a year, on a regular schedule: January, April, July, and October. This publication schedule is also clearly stated on the homepage of our journal website.
Question: Does the journal collaborate with conferences? How can we propose a collaboration?
Answer: Currently, we do not collaborate with conferences due to the high volume of regular submissions.
Question: Does the journal offer special issues?

Answer: No. APC fees are non-negotiable, and we do not offer fee waivers. APC applies to both Indonesian and overseas authors (excluding tax for overseas authors).

Answer: The APC is 300 USD for both Indonesian and overseas authors. For overseas authors, this amount does not include international bank transfer fees, which must be covered by the author.
Question: Is there any discount for the APC?
Answer: No, we do not offer APC discounts. The only exception applies to authors who are formally invited by the journal to publish in Science and Technology Indonesia.

Question: Can authors be added after the article has been accepted?

Question: Can we change the affiliation of the authors?
Answer: Yes, affiliation changes are allowed as long as the article has not been web-released. Once the article is officially published online, affiliation changes can no longer be made.

Question: My article has been placed in the Upcoming Issue, but the DOI is not active yet even though a DOI has already been assigned. Why?
Answer: A DOI becomes active only after the article is officially published in its scheduled issue. Articles listed under the Upcoming Issue are not considered published yet, so their DOI will remain inactive until the release of the corresponding issue.
Question: We are interested in submitting our article to STI. Could you please check whether it fits the journal’s scope?
